Housing
On-Campus
As of May 1, 2024: On-campus housing is currently full and the On-Campus Housing Form is closed.
On-campus housing is available for conference participants for $50/night. There are 85 rooms available in four different residences. Rooms will be assigned on a first come basis and we will do our best to accommodate your preference if one is indicated. All rooms will be assigned as singles, if you will be traveling with a partner and wish to have a double room, please indicate that in the Housing Form.
Please note that hotels fill up quickly so reserve your room as soon as you can if you don’t plan to stay on campus.
Pibly Hall is apartment-style housing. A limited number of 2- or 3-person apartments are available. Each apartment has two or three bedrooms, a shared bathroom, kitchen, and common living room. This residence is on “upper campus” which is at the top of a hill and the furthest distance from the conference meeting location. [Six apartments with a total of fifteen rooms are reserved for conference participants.]
The Mods are apartment-style housing. A limited number of 3-person apartments are available. Each apartment has three bedrooms, a shared bathroom, kitchen, and common living room. This residence is very close to the conference meeting location. [Two apartments with a total of six rooms are reserved for conference participants. Both apartments are now booked.]
Hill House is traditional college dorm-style housing. Dorm rooms are on common hallways with multiple single-use bathrooms (approximately 5 people per bathroom). This accessible residence has an elevator for access to all floors. It is a short distance from the conference meeting location. [28 rooms are reserved for conference participants.]
Kendrick House is traditional college dorm-style housing. Dorm rooms are organized in suites with five rooms sharing one bathroom. Kendrick is a short distance from the conference meeting location. [36 rooms are reserved for conference participants.]
Hotels in Great Barrington
We will be offering shuttle service to and from campus and these hotels. Refer to the map on the Travel page for hotel locations.
Fairfield Inn & Suites – use this conference link for reserving a room at the special SEDI rate ($139-$159 per night plus taxes). The last day to book a room at this rate is Wednesday, May 1, 2024.

Quality Inn – conference rate is $99 per night (plus taxes); to reserve a room at this rate, you must call the hotel at 1-413-528-3150 and request the SEDI rate.
Air BnB
There are many options, but they fill up early. You will likely need your own transportation unless you can walk to town or campus.
Childcare
If you are attending the conference with children and need daycare, the Berkshire South Regional Community Center in Great Barrington has weeklong programs. They do fill up so contact them early to reserve a space.
